Glow Yourself!
As a DJ, each of us must have a different personalities that can grab people's attention. DJ Awards 2009 theme this year will definitely show your true personallity.

'Glow' is our theme for this year, accompanied by the tagline 'Glow Yourself'. So, have a blast on showing your true DJ personality.

Colour Pallette
Amethyst (Purple), Gold and Black. These 3 colours are chosen to bring elegance to the award night.

Creative Members
We are throwing our best effort to make you unleash your true personality through our designs! This blog is designed by DJ Melon. The Posters are designed by DJ V.

Rules & Regulations of DJ Awards 2009

Eligibility

1. This competition is open to all college/university students, except committees of DJ AWARDS 08/09.
2. Contestants must be enrolled in a college/university and will be required to show a copy of their student ID cards and Identification Card ( IC ); sent in together with the entry form.
3. Contestants must be within the ages of 17 to 25 years old.
4. The registration fee for each entry will be RM (every contestant will be automatically given a certificate for participation)

DJ Awards Open Categories

1. Best Male DJ
2. Best Female DJ
3. Best Jingle
4. Best Collaboration

Rules and Regulations

1. Each recording must be 30 minutes long; maximum + 5 minutes (that is 35 minutes). Recordings less than 30 minutes or more than 35 minutes will be disqualified.
2. Recordings must be in .mp3 format.
3. No indecency, vulgarity, political, religious or racial statements are allowed in any part of contestant’s recordings. Or else will result in instant disqualification.
4. Contestants who are rude, abusive or deemed otherwise unsuitable by the organizers will automatically be disqualified from the competition.
5. Organizers will not be responsible for entries that are lost and damaged.
6. All recordings must be saved into a CD with two separate files ( 1 recording file and 1 jingle file ) and must be submitted to organizers starting from the 5th Of Nov 2008.The last day for submission will be on the 10th of Dec 2008.
7. All recordings must have at least one jingle in it.
8. Contestants are not allowed to edit or modify their recordings.
9. Judges will decide the winners based on the following categories, with each base out of 10 points for a possible of 30 points (40 points for collaboration). Voice projection, Originality, and Creativity. For collaboration category, entries will be judge with all three categories including Partners’ Chemistry:



10. The decision made by the judges and officials are final.
11. The organizers and sponsors reserve the right to substitute any of the prizes with that of similar value at any time.
12. By participating in this contest, all contestants have agreed to abide by the rules and regulations, terms and conditions, and all decisions made by the organizers.
13. Competition rules and regulations are subject to change at the discretion of the organizer. Contestants will be notified of any changes via phone or e-mail.

Introduction

What's a competition without an award ceremony? DJ Awards 2008/2009 is a prestigious award ceremony where all the universities around the Klang Valley region will be competing for the many awards presented on the day itself. This is the first time RMMU DJ Club has ever conducted such event and hopefully this event is the start of an annual event where all the radio DJs are awarded for their creativity and hardwork.
